                                           Program

Companies  (and  governments)  have slapped "GREEN"  lables  on  everything  from landfills to legislation.

Since  1990,  BEACON  Pest  Control  has been, and  continues  to  be,  the  ONLY licensed  pest  control  company in Washington state to voluntarely  provide  rescue, triage   and   transport  for injured  wildlife.  This  activity  is  supported  at   our   own expense  and  not  through donations. (See our Wildlife Rescue page)  

Because  of this commitment we strive to insure that our treatment programs do  not adversly effect the environment we share.

We  have  always  been at the forefront of companies utilizing  responsible  practices like  Integrated  Pest  Management  and  low toxicity materials  like  borate  salts  to protect our clients and their property while being good stewards of our environment. 

Many  people believe that GREEN pesticides like "orange oil", "mint oil",  "eucaliptus oil"  and  other  plant extracts are somehow less toxic than  other  professional  pest products.   In  fact  most  GREEN products are more toxic even  with  their  "natural" origins. 

Not  to suggest that there isn't a place for plant extracts and minerals in the  overall scheme of things but they are hardly a panacea and can make some pest problems worse if used incorrectly. (see odorous house ants)

So  rather  than jumping on the big GREEN bandwagon or chasing the  latest  gimic, we will keep doing what we have always done best.  

Be RESPONSIBLE. 

Incorporate real innovation when it comes along. 

Provide the kind of service you would recommend to your friends and family.
